About me

I am the Choir Conductor at the Federal Technological University of Paraná, a position I've held with pride since 2009. Alongside my role as a conductor, I'm deeply entrenched in the world of music as a versatile professional, spanning roles as a music teacher, singer, pianist, and choral conductor.

My journey in music education began with a Bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance from UNESPAR - EMBAP, followed by a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from EMBAP. I furthered my expertise with a Higher Education teaching certificate from Vizivalli and pursued a Master's degree in Music from UFPR, specializing in choral conducting from EMBAP. Throughout these academic pursuits, I immersed myself in various music production projects and contributed to cultural initiatives, enriching my experience and shaping my holistic approach to music education.

In 2011, under my direction, the UTFPR Choir achieved an outstanding second place overall in the Rede Globo Television Choir Competition. Building on this success, subsequent years witnessed the choir's triumph, clinching first place in the mixed choir category at I Cantoritiba in 2014 and securing second place at II Cantoritiba in 2015. I also had the honor of serving as the president of the judging committee and curator of the International Choir Festival of Curitiba - Cantoritiba in 2016 and 2017, further establishing my leadership in the choral music scene.

In recognition of my contributions to the arts and education, I was bestowed with the prestigious Cultural Merit Carlos Gomes in March 2017. This acknowledgment affirmed my commitment to fostering artistic excellence and educational innovation. Subsequently, I received the Art and Education Prize from FUNARTE in July 2018 for 'Fronteiras' (2017), a groundbreaking project recognized among the top ten art and education initiatives nationwide.

My passion for democratizing music education led me to join the Google Innovators Brazil team in 2019, where I contributed to the development of projects aimed at enhancing access to music education. In 2020, my dedication to the advancement of choral music was acknowledged with the Trajectories Award from the Paraná Cultural Superintendence, underscoring my impact on the cultural landscape of Paraná. In 2021, I achieved another milestone in my professional journey by becoming a Google Trainer, expanding my role in fostering innovative educational practices and technology integration.

In 2022, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Technology Hackathon promoted by DWIH, where our TECH_LA Project took the first-place prize! This project, developed in just two days, aims to address the need for affordable music education solutions in Brazil. It's a testament to our dedication to using technology to make education more accessible for everyone.

Currently, I am embarking on an exciting academic journey as a Ph.D. student in Computer Science Education at the University of Hamburg. Under the mentorship of Professor Dr. Sandra Schulz, I am researching and developing innovative projects to enhance computer science education, bridging my passion for music and technology.

In addition to my academic pursuits, I am an avid contributor to the educational discourse as a blogger for Google for Education Brazil. Through insightful articles and shared experiences, I strive to inspire educators and foster dialogue on the intersection of music education and technology integration.

Furthermore, I offer technical-pedagogical consultancy services to various municipalities, universities, and companies in Brazil, specializing in educational technologies and active methodologies. It's my fervent belief that by empowering educators with cutting-edge tools and methodologies, we can revolutionize the learning experience and nurture a new generation of creative thinkers.

I am genuinely thrilled to continue my journey of impacting lives through music education and fostering a profound appreciation for choral singing within our communities. Together, let's embark on this enriching journey of exploration, innovation, and transformation.
